Traffic Infractions and Misdemeanors

"Traffic Infraction is defined by the New York Vehicle and Traffic Law section 155.
A traffic infraction is not a crime. If you are charged with a traffic infraction, as opposed to misdemeanor or felony, it means that you do not have to appear in court and you may answer the ticket by mail.  That answer may be "guilty" or "not guilty." We strongly advise against pleading without first seeking a reduction.

A misdemeanor, on the other hand, is a classified as a crime and requires a physical appearance in court for an arraignment. Misdemeanors also have increase fines and penalties The most common misdemeanor traffic ticket is Aggravated Unlicensed Operation (AUO).

If you are charged with a misdemeanor, please contact us for a free consultation.

Seth Azria and his team are the absolute BEST in the game. During the initial consultation Mr. Azria was very thorough in explaining the whole process and possible outcomes. The fees were VERY reasonable. The level of responsiveness was superb. Kudos to Monica as well!!!! - I appreciate all of your assistance. It’s never fun to get a ticket out of state. But thanks to this team, they turned a stressful incident into a quick, easy and painless situation. I would HIGHLY recommend this firm to anyone who is looking for an attorney in the area. - Danielle

Great lawyer and great team

I unfortunately got 2 tickets at 2 different counties in the upper NY state after my flight was cancelled due to snow storm in the Winter. Ralph and his team helped me out with reduced charges and fines after a few months. Ralph is an expert on traffic tickets. He answered my questions and proposed the defense strategies in the phone. His team even worked in the holiday to evaluate my cases. They followed up at every stages professionally and responded to my questions promptly. According to my personal experience, I highly recommend Ralph if you have any traffic tickets in the NY state.

Take it from a Fellow Attorney, Seth Azria is wonderful and gets the job done.

I am an attorney working in the lower Hudson Valley. I had an unfortunate brush with the law on my birthday of all days! which resulted in my receipt of a speeding ticket en-route to a wedding in Buffalo. I'd never had any other infractions on my record and this offense is certainly not an area in which I specialize. I was very upset and worried but immediately upon calling Mr. Azria all of my fears and concerns melted away. Mr. Azria was able to plead my ticket down to a minor violation with no points and a small fee to the Court. Mr. Azria was quick, efficient and responsive. I never had a moment of worry that my case was being neglected. Mr. Azria and his team answered any questions that I had and kept me informed throughout the process. I could not have asked for a better team in my corner and you can't beat the price. You would have thought that I spent a small fortune for the quality of service that I received. Take it from me, Mr. Azria is the attorney you want representing you.
