Oswego New York Speeding Ticket Attorneys

Frequently Asked Questions

How much will this cost?

The total cost of resolving your tickets will be legal fee plus any fines or fees you may be required to pay. Legal fees vary based on the charges call (315) 364-1155 to inquire about your ticket.

The legal fee does not include the fine imposed by the court for a plea to a reduced charge. The court has the discretion to impose a fine with a certain range.

Will I have to appear in court?

Probably Not.

For traffic infractions, as opposed to misdemeanors, you will not have to appear in court or send in a not guilty plea to the court. We will make this appearance by mail and enter a no guilty plea on your behalf.

How do you know if you have a traffic infraction?

It will be marked on your ticket:

What about the court date listed on my ticket?

After you hire us, you can ignore it.

Once we are retained to represent you, we send a letter to the court to enter a not guilty plea on your behalf and request a postponement, or adjournment, of your case to give us the opportunity to meet with the prosecutor. Courts often reschedule cases for a month or more and we keep track of these dates for you. We will request additional extensions if your case requires it.

How long will this take?

About 8-10 weeks.

Courts and prosecutors vary, but the average is about 6 weeks from the time you hire us to the time we send you a notice from the court regarding the fine or disposition of your case.

There is usually a couple weeks between the time you hire us and the time we meet with the prosecutor. After we inform you of the proposed disposition of your case and you approve, courts usually take a few weeks to process the plea or dismissal. Once we send out your fine notice, most courts allow you about a month to pay the fine.

As soon as you retain the office to represent you, you no longer have to keep track of dates. If your appearance is required in court we will inform you. If, for whatever reason, your case is not resolved and a court date is approaching, we will contact the court for additional time.

How do I hire the office?

Email us or Call (315) 364-1155. Chances are that you will speak to lawyer right away to answer all your questions. Basically, it is as simple as paying the fee and sending the ticket. For most clients, paying the fee with a credit card and then faxing or emailing a scanned copy of the ticket is the most convenient.

We email credit card invoices that you can pay with any major credit card, Paypal, or a bank account. On that invoice you will see our fax number (315) 254-2024, and our email address, help@abticket.com. Of course, you can also mail the ticket or stop by the office.

Once you pay the fee and send the ticket, we take it from there. We contact the court, pull your NY driving abstract, and meet with the prosecutor. In most cases, you can expect to hear from us after our meeting with the prosecutor. Learn more about what to expect.

The office handled my speeding case effectively and obtained an outcome that did not put any points on my license. I would recommend this firm to anyone with a similar case.

Yelp Review

As a a 60 year old physician I am semi-retired and my wife and I travel the country to do work in my specialty at places that are shorthanded. Since I only work about 1/3 of the year we have time to drive to these places. Recently I was stopped on a highway in NY. I haven't had a speeding ticket since I was in my twenties. The officer said I was doing 81 in a 65 MPH zone (my reading 76 while trying to pass a slow moving vehicle with a line of cars behind me trying to get by me as well). I read the reviews and chose Attorney Azria.

The office staff was pleasant and efficient, and put me right through to Attorney Azria. He explained the process with perfect clarity and went to work. Although he explained the process could take 4-6 weeks he resolved the issue in 10 days, reducing the violation to a non-moving violation with a small fee and no points. His price was more than fair.

I've been lucky enough as a physician to have never been sued but doctors by nature do not have an affinity for lawyers. However, if you find yourself in need of one, it is hard to imagine someone better at their job than Attorney Azria. Thank you sir. If I could give you 6 stars out of 5 I would.

Courteous, professional, and gets results

Ralph and his very capable staff brought what could have been a disastrous speeding ticket-and-point incident down to a parking violation with no points. From start to finish, his office handled everything and came through for me. I hope I don't need him again -- but if I do, I will hire him without hesitation!
